So this is a test in the effectiveness of hiring via blogs. While my blog doesn’t receive a huge amount of traffic, I figure that somebody reading this blog knows someone that can program PHP. I myself program PHP, but I am looking for other programmers that have a similar skill set. One of the companies I am working with is looking to hire two PHP programmers, and just the other day I spoke with a recruiter from a large PR firm in downtown Washington, D.C. who is looking to hire a full-time web developer (primarily .NET).

So far I have had extremely bad luck with trying to find local, talented web developers. If you are or know somebody who has any of the following skill sets, please have them contact me:

• PHP, MySQL programming experience 2-3 years
• Experience installing and customizing open-source content management systems such as Joomla, Drupal, etc.
• Experience implementing AJAX
• .NET experience is a definite plus for one of the job positions that I have

Please someone help!!! I have posted a number of Craigslist ads, only to be bombarded by Indian web development firms. I do not want to outsource my development currently.
